Project background:

Waste heat boiler is a kind of equipment that uses waste gas, waste water, waste residue and other waste heat resources generated in the industrial production process for energy recovery and utilization. It has the advantages of energy saving and emission reduction, improving energy efficiency, and reducing operating costs. According to statistics, the average value of China's total recoverable waste heat resources is about 1.3 billion tons of standard coal, of which about half come from key industries such as steel, cement, glass and chemical industry. However, due to the technical complexity, investment risk, operation and management difficulty of waste heat boilers and other factors, the utilization rate of waste heat boilers in China is still low, only about 30%, far lower than that of developed countries. Therefore, improving the utilization level of waste heat boilers in China is an important way to achieve energy transformation and green development.

Customer pain points:

A large iron and steel group is a leading enterprise in China's iron and steel industry, with multiple iron and steel production bases and an annual production capacity of millions of tons. In recent years, the group has actively responded to the national call for energy conservation and emission reduction, investing in the construction of a number of waste heat boiler projects, using high-temperature flue gas, cooling water and other waste heat resources for power generation or heating. However, in the actual operation process, the group is facing the following problems:

-Due to the lack of a unified credit reporting system, it is difficult for the group to fully understand its qualification, reputation, technical level and service quality when selecting suppliers of waste heat boilers, resulting in high cooperation risks.

-Due to the lack of effective monitoring and evaluation mechanism, it is difficult for the group to accurately grasp the operation effect, energy saving benefit, environmental benefit and other indicators of each waste heat boiler project, resulting in high management costs.

-Due to the lack of an authoritative third-party certification body, it is difficult for the group to prove to external stakeholders (such as government departments, financial institutions, the public, etc.) the energy-saving and emission reduction effects of the remaining thermal boiler projects, resulting in financing difficulties.

Project purpose:

In September 2023, the Group commissioned a credit and credit reporting business project with the aim of providing it with the following services through professional surveys and research:

-Evaluate the credit standing of the waste heat boiler suppliers and operators they cooperate with or intend to cooperate with, including registration information, equity structure, financial situation, business situation, legal proceedings, credit history, etc., and give corresponding ratings and recommendations.

-Evaluate the operation effect of the waste heat boiler projects that have been built or under construction, including technical parameters, energy consumption indicators, energy saving efficiency, environmental impact, etc., and give corresponding evaluation and improvement measures.

-Energy conservation and emission reduction certification for the remaining thermal boiler projects, accounting for their energy savings and emissions reduction in accordance with relevant national and industry standards and specifications, and issuing corresponding certification reports and certificates.

Research object:

The research objects of this project mainly include the following two categories:

-Waste heat boiler suppliers and operators: According to the list provided by the group, a total of 10 waste heat boiler suppliers and 10 waste heat boiler operators were selected as research objects, and relevant information was collected through questionnaires, interviews, on-site visits, etc.

-Waste heat boiler projects: According to the information provided by the group, a total of 20 waste heat boiler projects were selected as the research objects, of which 10 have been completed and put into operation, and 10 are under construction or proposed to be built. Through data research, on-site testing, third-party testing, etc. Ways to collect relevant information.

Project Content:

The main contents of this project include the following aspects:

-Credit evaluation: a comprehensive evaluation of the credit status of the research object, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, according to different evaluation indicators and weights, give the corresponding rating and score, and compare with the industry average level of research, at the same time put forward advantages, disadvantages and suggestions for improvement.

-Evaluation of operation effect: conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the operation effect of the research object, adopt the method of energy balance and material balance, give the corresponding evaluation and index according to different evaluation indicators and standards, and conduct comparative research with the design value and similar projects, and put forward the existing problems and improvement measures.

-Energy conservation and emission reduction certification: Authoritative certification of the energy conservation and emission reduction effects of the research objects, adopting relevant national and industry standards and specifications, according to different accounting methods and parameters, giving corresponding certification results and certificates, and issuing corresponding certification reports and certificates.
